Saya kira sangatlah tidak mungkin sebuah Acer 4530 yang menggunakan processor AMD bisa menggunakan chipset Intel 965 (x3100)... kemungkinan brosur atau orang di toko tersebut salah tentang hal ini. Detailnya lihat di sini

Enggak bisa... cukup game2 ringan saja... misal PES5 atau PES6 (Pro Evolution Soccer/Winning Eleven) (tapi low detail and resolution lho). NVIDIA® GeForce® 9100M bawaan Aspire 4530 jauh lebih bagus dibanding GMA X3100, mungkin performa ga jauh beda, tapi teknologi yang dibawa lebih maju, misal support Shader Model 4.0, Microsoft® DirectX® 10, dll.

3) brp resolusi webcam acer 4530?
Resolusi maximal dari Aspire 4530 adalah 1280x800

4) apa c sbner'y fungsi & pengaruh'y s-video pada laptop?
s-video ini digunakan untuk menyambungkan laptop dengan TV.

5) fungsi firewire apa yg ga bs d usb?
FireWire unggul pada kecepatannya. Pada teorinya USB 2.0 kecepatannya 480 MBps dan FireWire adalah 400 MBps namun pada prakteknya ketika kita menyambungkan sebuah Harddisk portable (USB) pada USB dan dibandingkan dengan pada FireWire (dengan converter USB to firewire) maka kecepatan proses Write dan Read nya akan lebih cepat di FireWire (detailnya lihat disini)

untuk TV tuner internal tidak tersedia, tapi bisa menggunakan TV tuner external (misal USB TV)

Sorry for my late reply...

-Start your computer from the Windows XP CD. To do this, insert the Windows XP CD into your CD drive or DVD drive, and then restart your computer.

-When you see the "Press any key to boot from CD" message, press any key to start the computer from the Windows XP CD.

-At the Welcome to Setup screen, press ENTER to start Windows XP Setup.

-Read the Microsoft Software License Terms, and then press F8.

-Follow the instructions on the screen to select/delete/create and format a partition where you want to install Windows XP. To make 4 partition, first you must delete all partitions, then you can create partition one by one... for four partitons in 160Gb harddisk, please insert value approximately 40000 for each partition.

-Follow the instructions on the screen to complete Windows XP Setup.

-After all windows XP setup processes complete, you can install all hardware drivers. First install Chipset, then install driver for other hardware.

If you want to use AHCI mode, you must read this tutorial to insert AHCI driver into Windows XP installation disc and use this AHCI driver, but if you want to use IDE mode, just install windows XP like usual, Windows XP will detect the harddisk easily (no need to insert AHCI driver)

Hi Daniel, some Crystal Eye will automatically detected as USB Video Device by Windows XP (you don't need to install the driver), but to use it you can use Crystal Eye Application (Download) or your internet messenger or Windows Movie Maker (Tutorial)

Hi Reo, that error occured because you still use AHCI mode... go to BIOS then change sata mode to IDE mode, follow this guide (change sata mode in BIOS). If you want to use SATA AHCI mode instead of IDE mode, you must insert AHCI driver (DOS driver) into Windows XP installation CD... follow this guide (insert driver into Windows XP CD) and use this Aspire 4530 AHCI driver (Download)

USB ports doesn't need driver anymore.. windows XP automatically detect this device..

Hi Fransiska, it's true the easiest way to make Windows XP detect the Harddisk is change sata mode in BIOS from AHCI mode to IDE mode. but if you must change sata mode every after shutdown/restart there is must be something error in the BIOS, you may try to update the BIOS (Download).

If it not solve your problem you must install Windows XP in SATA AHCI mode (read tutorial) and use this driver (Download)

Empowering Technology is application from Acer that makes easier controlling Acer Laptop. For example ePerformance, ePresentation, ePower, etc...

Empowering technology for Aspire 4530 is for Windows Vista only. But for Windwos XP, you mau try empowering technology from another laptop type (download here)

Setelah liat blog nya, ternyata banyak banget informasi yg berguna nih. Jadi berniat untuk meminta bantuan nih. Acer 4530 ku ini ada sedikit masalah sih sepertinya, mengenai built-in mic nya.
Uda dicoba di Test Hardware di Sound and Audio Devices, kalau misalnya ngomong biasa aja gitu mic nya ga bisa "nangkep" suaranya, tapi kalau di ketok2in mic nya ada respond. Uda coba2 search dan uda coba setting Realtek nya, tapi kayanya ga ketemu2 settingan yg mantep buat mic built-in nya ini ... mungkin ada pencerahan nih ? =)

Hello - I am trying to download the drivers noted on this forum for the Aspire 4530 - however, it is taking a long time to download - I am in the US. The chipset driver takes 45 hours then times out just before completing. Is the a better link that I can access to download these drivers. Your help is greatly appreciated.

maybe the version of your linux cannot detect AHCI mode... please go to BIOS then change sata mode to IDE mode.

it depends on "Portable/Laptop Power Scheme" settings and how you use your laptop... but overall an Acer AMD powered laptop consume more watts than Intel ones.. read this

Front Side Bus (FSB) adalah jalan data antara CPU dan northbridge (northbridge ini adalah chipset yang mengontrol komponen yang "berjalan" cepat, misal RAM - jadi RAM berhubungan dengan processor lewat chipset northbridge)... nah semakin cepat FSB maka semakin bagus.

sedangkan L2 Cache adalah salah satu cache di processor yang berfungsi sebagai semacam RAM tetapi letaknya dekat (jadi satu) dengan processor. Selain L2 Cache, ada juga L1 cache. kecepatan bus antara cache dengan processor jauh lebih cepat daripada FSB (yang menghubungkan RAM dengan processor).

Jadi cache dalam processor ini menyimpan data-data yang sering digunakan oleh processor. Ketika processor membutuhkan suatu data, maka processor akan mengecek L1 cache (cache paling cepat) kalau tidak ada baru mengecek L2 cache (lebih lambat daripada L1 tapi tetap lebih cepat dari pada RAM).. kalau data tetap tidak ditemukan baru processor mengecek RAM...

ya naik turun karena penggunaan daya pada suatu waktu dalam sebuah laptop tidaklah selalu sama... tergantung pada penggunaan nya, semakin berat kerja laptop semakin cepat baterai habis, sedangkan windows membandingkan antara daya yang dihabiskan pada saat itu juga dengan sisa di baterai. tapi bagaimanapun juga ini hanya estimasi windows saja.

empowering technology hanya akan membantu memudahkan kita untuk mematikan hardware-hardware yang tidak dibutuhkan, misal ketika tidak pakai Wireless LAN, maka hardware WiFi akan dimatikan untuk menghemat baterai. saya kira 2 jam itu sudah cukup normal.. karena prosessor AMD yang ada pada Acer Aspire 4530 memang agak boros daya jika dibandingkan intel (misal pada Acer Aspire 4710)

saya mau tanya :
1. Kenapa kalo mau install vista (Vista Ultimate) pake SATA AHCI-mode ga bisa, setelah booting dia minta driver AHCI?.
Lalu saya kembalikan ke IDE Mode, berhasil install, lalu setelah install saya coba pake AHCI-Mode setelah booting terjadi blue screen , seperti jika menggunakan AHCI pada XP. Padahal menurut info seharusnya vista mendukung sata AHCI?.

2. adakah eRecovery yang bisa digunakan di XP?

as you know that Acer design this Microphone just for Chat usage... if you want to karaoke, you should external mic for karaoke

You can't download ahci driver from internet.. or you can't insert it to Windows XP cd via nLite?

1. yes, I think 4530 is enough for that.

2. the battery... please remove the battery when you use your notebook for long time.. I use Aspire 4710 for 24 hours a day !!! yes, I'm stay online everyday, and I use a notebook cooler. You should use notebook cooler too. Don't foget to install AMD Processor Driver (Download) it allows the system to automatically adjust the CPU speed, voltage and power combination to match the instantaneous user performance need.

3. hmm.. another acer type? why not Acer Aspire 5530 ? :)

Acer 4530 kan habis ku install ulang, habis itu, kuinstall deh semua drivernya. Namun kemudian, bluetooth, wireless LAN, and volume notification-Nya hilang. Contohnya, kalo tombol bluetooth nya dipencet, tulisan bluetooth on/off nggak muncul dilayar, wireless LAN ama Volume nya juga gitu. Minta solusinya mas.....

HI Reo, can your Device Manager detect the web camera? as "Crystal Eye" or "USB Video Device" ?

Try install Suyin Driver (Download), if you still have problem with it, uninstall it, then install Chicony Driver (Download) or Bison.. (Download)...

after try all driver and you still have problem.. open device manager, right click on "Crystal Eye", select properties, select uninstall or Roll Back Driver until windows xp detect it as "USB Video Device"....

then install Crystal Eye application... not the driver

then i change my sata mode into ide n my laptop runs well..
how can i repair my laptop so i can use ahci mode again??
is it safe to repair it with update the BIOS??
how can i update my BIOS??

mas, di manual guide acer aspire 4530 tertulis bahwa WLAN yang terpasang adalah Acer InviLink™ 802.11b/g, tapi kok di dalam cd driver WLAN Atheros BG ? ketika saya install driver yang ada di dalam CD, wifinya ga mau nyala... di device manager masih ada tanda seru pada Atheros... kenapa ya?
saya pake Win Xp Sp2, dan semua driver telah terinstalasi dengan baik, kecuali untuk driver wifi..

In vista the webcam will automatically detected as "Crystal Eye" but in Windows XP this device will detected as "USB Video Device" but if you install webcam driver for windows xp, it will detected as "Crystal Eye" in Windows XP. I haven't encountered this problem before... try to uninstall or Roll back driver from device manager until windows XP detect it as "USB Video Device" then install this Webcam Application (only app not the driver) (Download)

to use AHCI mode you need to reinstall it (and insert/slipstream AHCI driver to Windows XP installation CD).. but you may try this guide (Windows already installed in IDE mode, how to enable AHCI mode) then on step 7, use and locate for this driver (Download)

and please remove your battery if you use it for long time ... but please make sure you have stable power source..

many people switch back to XP.. I don't know but I think XP is enough for me... it is lighter, faster than vista and it seems to be doing the job :) but if you have outstanding hardware performance.. I suggest you to use Vista.. or Dual Boot Vista and XP

Two things still don't work, the built-in and external mic doesn't work at all (and some site suggested the boost setting that doesn't exist on mine). And the AHCI driver above doesn't work when I update my controller (I tried both updating and add-and-delete-all-older-drivers methods)

that because i used to install the windows xp sp2. but the problem was the resolution i am not getting the proper resolution in it im getting just 4bit color

and if i uninstall the nvidia graphic card im getting the good resolution but the system was very slow

probably you installed wrong video driver...

install this nVidia driver (Download)

and please install chipset driver first, before install another device driver...

the DosAhci driver is for Windows XP 32 bit only. Is there any for 64bit? I tried slipstreaming it to XPx64 and it did not work since it is only for 32 bit.

hi cahya,i've problem with my acer 4530 webcam.i already installed the driver but the problem is i still can't use it.when i click to crystal eye the camera screen is blank.i can't see any image inside it,before this it can be operated but after i used vista ultimate sp1 this problem occurred.then i switch to xp sp2 but the problem still happen.

My Aspire 4530 is in trouble. I'm using Windows XP SP3 before and downgraded to SP2 now to find out what's wrong with my notebook. Also using v.1331 as my BIOS.

The problems are:
1. Everytime I boot up the laptop, it'll start with a DIMMED (no light) LCD screen. Everything (Loading, Loging, Desktop stuff) is working even without any light on screen. In the next 5-10 minutes the LCD is working fine (the light turn ON by itself).
2. My laptop can't go SLEEP, HIBERNATE or even SHUT OFF when I press the Power Button. (My Acer guy said it was because my SP3. Even I downgraded to SP2, still like that).
3. Sometimes I can't start by pressing the Power Button, so after wait a few minutes then I can power it up. (My Battery is full and chargeable).

Could you help me to figure out what's wrong with it?
Do you have any new BIOS updates for my 4530?

Masalah lainnya adalah, RAM saya masih 1GB, tapi kok hanya terdeteksi +- 760MB. Bagaimana ini?

I use this loptop 1. IN xp for gaming and 2. 2003 sever for web and windows apllication and for SQL server.

wifi saya ga terdeteksi, padahal saya udah nginstall drivernya. sebelumnya bisa, tapi waktu saya install ulang windows dan drivernya cuma wifinya aja yang ga bisa. Trus klo standby laptop saya ga bisa wake up, harus d matiin, itu kenapa ya?

aku juga baru beli aspire 4530...semua driver xp naik kecuali wifinya. aku pakai driver bawaan cdnya tetapi muncul tanda seru. aku pakai driver dari link diatas juga muncul tanda seru.
apakah ada yang salah dgn driver atau OS yang aku pakai?

NB: NoteBook nya telah aku install berkali-kali dan juga telah di tukar sekali oleh tokonya. Masih tetap tanda seru.

Masalah Wife AR5B91, waktu pertama gw beli juga bermasalah seperti teman2 semua...
Akhirnya gw datang ke bag cust service-nya acer untuk minta drive yang terbaru. Dan sekarang masalah itu sudah beres. Mungkin teman2 bisa download di http://w15.easy-share.com/1702953847.html
Mudah2an berhasil yah... soalnya di laptop gw udah nggak bermasalah.

Tadi di post2 diatas juga ada yg bilang kalau udah di install drivernya compatible tapi low connection.
Nah, kalau kejadiannya kaya gini, coba deh :
1. Instal dulu driver terbarunya diatas.
kalau masalah low connectionnya masih timbul :
2. coba masuk ke settingan router dan settingan password di routernya di disable-kan dulu
3. Di bagian setup router biasanya ada "Maximum Number of DHCP Users" ubah setingan ini menjadi 5.
4. Coba di test lagi wifinya, biasanya sih pasti udah jalan.
5. Baru deh diganti passwordnya lagi.

Mudah-mudahan pada berhasil yah....

Because I use my laptop like a desktop most of the time, I don't put the battery in. And recently, as soon as I plug in the external power, the laptop boots up automatically and I will get a CMOS checksum error. Basically, it looks like the CMOS reset itself because the CMOS clock will be set to April 1st, 2008. and everything else will be set back to default. I have tried to use the battery instead of the external power. Same deal, once I insert the battery in, the machine boots up. I am really getting fed up by it. Anybody can help me out?

can you boot to windows?
If you can, why not try to update your BIOS?
the latest BIOS available for Aspire 4530 is v.3328 (Download)

btw, from Acer :

but when i start to connect,the status always read as "aquaring nerwork"...
It is true?, if the driver or hardware not compatible with WPA2..
cause when i change the network setting without WPA2, the wireless work normaly..

One question, even after installing SP3 on my Aspire 4530, I cannot get my DVD-RW multi drive to be recognized as anything but a DVD RAM drive. Anyone else have this problem? I know the drive worked before I installed XP as I used it to back up Vista.

i have an acer aspire 4530 with windows xp service pack 2.
Acer provided drivers for xp,
however the atheros wi-fi network controller is not working properly..
i tried installing vista and evrything worked fine, however i dont want to use vista.
i’m dowloading xp sp3 now, i hope it can fix it..

anyone who can help me?
any advise?
worst case is i have to go back to vista =)

I just bought this serie this morning n i got stuck for hours with its wifi driver.. I m using XP sp3.. from the spec I read that its now using b/g/n Wifi but what i found in the CD is only driver (for xp) for b/g (vista driver inside the CD working find). N now I greatly thanks for whoever gave the UPDATE 5 download link, its working now.... THANK YOU...credit for u... its now using wifi atheros AR928X ..

ASPIRE 4530 721G16Mn saya suka mati setelah sekitar setengah jam dibiarin. Padahal baterai masih penuh dan power cord tetep terpasang ke outlet listrik. Di power options pun, saya set agar tidak shutdown/standby ketika baterai hampir habis. Akibatnya, kerjaan-kerjaan yang lupa saya save lenyaplah sudah... parah...
Apa yang salah ya? gimana solusinya?

Oia tambahan u/ comment di atas, laptopnya tu mati (alias kaya habis baterai) bukan proses shutdown/standby...

untuk mas iman...coba kalu pencet tombol fn+F3 nanti akan muncul power option...nah disitu nanti disetting aja gmana enaknya...semoga berhasil...salam kenal wandy

mas wandy, power option ga membantu... coz itu udah saya lakukan, malahan, saya ubah semua action menjadi 'never', tapi tetep aja, mati sendiri (kalo desktop pc, kaya dicabut kabel power gitu mas)

oia, tambahan ni... kmrn sy otak-atik firmware webcam (dengan menggunakan tool SONIX dari SUYIN), eh malah pc mati dan skr webcam nya ga bisa diakses sama sekali.
Mohon bantuannya, upload firmware webcam suyin u ASPIRE 4530 ya...

coba mas amin cek temperatur laptopnya biasa nya AMD panas banget punya saya aja klo lagi main game bisa ampe 90 derajat celcius...nah biasanya klo panas nya lebih dari segitu kompt bisa mati n restart2 mulu kadang ampe VGA angus makanya harus sering2 dicek temperaturnya...

trs masalah webcam coba aja pake driverny yang dikasih mas cahya yang bison yah tapinya...punya saya langsung lancar...

i have an acer aspire 4530 and already have vista ultimate..
the problem is i reformat it but installed xp pack 2...
it showed network controler not function.it provided driver but still the wi-fi network controller is not working properly..
i tried installing vista before and everything worked fine after installed all driver for vista, however i dont want to use vista.Plzzz really need help
