aloo mr. i've got problem about my notebook 4730z when i look on device manager i found 2 device of hd audio when i tried to install, i've just 1 can be installed but the other one still wouldn't install but the sound ok,..any step that i missed,..FYI.i was install with device manager not with installer..

Just bought a 4736Z last nite c/w FreeDOS. now installing Windows XP Pro, not problem. Just change the BIOS Setting from AHCI to IDE. Should solve the problem..

Hi kEkurE.... try this
locate Warcraft III folder...
- Right click on Frozen Throne.exe and select "Create Shortcut"
- Right click on that "Shortcut", select properties
- Then, on the target line, at the very end, put [space]-opengl. it should look like (for example) "C:\Program Files\Warcraft III\Frozen Throne.exe" -opengl
- click Apply then Run the shortcut

I just used it this morning and then the sound just vanished. i am downloading right now a driver on your site. is it compatible with the laptop. hope you can help. the audio was fine for the past days. just this morning i checked it , and no sound device was installed what happened. was it a virus?

Are you using winamp? please check Preamp volume...
if you still face the problem, then please uninstall any codec pack.. (if you have installed it)

I don't know whether it's a virus or not, but the easiest way is reinstall sound driver... uninstall, then install new sound driver...

You should use e-recovery or acer backup management.
Just turn off UAC (User Account Control) please refer to Vista help for more information about how to turn off UAC. btw, try to change "power plan" setting for "battery mode"

can I know what model is your 4736? and please make sure you select the correct driver for you OS...

please install modem first before install audio driver, or you may try to install driver over device manager (right click on unknown device then select Update), and let windows search the driver itself (but please make sure that you already point the wizard to realtek folder)

yes it is possible, I read it somewhere.. as long there is pci express available, but because I haven't tried something like this I can't say anything about it...

i got the same result, i used vista ultimate 64, but the driver privided by acer didn't work,
i downloaded the x64 driver version for the vga from, and it is work fine.

Hi I just bought a new Acer 4736 laptop, last night it hangs up and i dont know what happen. I dont have any idea how to shutdown it, i just wait the battery to be empty so it end up. This morning it happen again after a few hour of use, my battery is not low since I am charging it. i really dont know what happening with this. Please help me... thank you

Normally you can't update a pirated version of Windows XP.. but there are a lot of patch available to make a pirated windows update-able... I won't share it here.. it's illegal.. sorry...
When you bought Acer laptop without pre-installed OS, you will get a driver CD/DVD...
You can't get a original Windows CD when you just buy an Acer Laptop...or even you buy a pre-installed OS acer laptop (you will get original OS inside your laptop - installed)...

good... just install what you need most...
maybe you have to use third party application...
empowering technology apps are not that perfect ... I think backup application from Acronis or Norton are better....

you can use an application called Acronis disk director to create a new partition.... a step-by-step guide to create partitions will available soon...

Vista already has several "Power plan" options.. Powersmart button allows users to easily extend battery life with simple one button pressing... but remember, you can do it your self (e.g. change Vista's "Power Plan" settings, turn off WLAN when you connected to the internet trough LAN cable.. etc).. This Powersmart one-button approach simplifies the process.

activate the bluetooth... when you want to transfer files, right click on files and send them via bluetooth... windows will search available bluetooth device such as your cellphone... and transfer the files..

I use WinXP Home edition, and I connect the projectors through the VGA port. In all occasions, when I press the Fn+F5, WinXp will hang. Is there something I need to do to make the laptop work with LCD projectors? Or anything need to be installed? Thanks.

ReplyDeleteI'm razuto and I bought a 4736G windows7 x64. I managed to dual boot with xp x64. But the bluetooth cannot be detected by the windows and the broadcom sofware & driver. Same goes or wireless LAN. The bluetooth switch still lighten up whenever pressed but the wireless never lighten up at all when switched on. However the launch manager still be able to recognize the switch buttons. It can indicate on and off but both of them cannot be used. Thanks for time.

Pathetic Laptop and Service - Acer Aspire 4736

I have bought Acer Laptop 4736 - S. No. lxpg40c0279292d4f21601 (on 14th Oct, 2009 from Micro Sun, super bazaar, Moradabad). Within a week, it was not booting. After 2 hour, it started normally.
I was embarrassed when I had to give important presentation. It was not starting. Any how I managed and after few hours it started normally. I called up (3rd November) customer care and they asked to visit service centre. At service centre (Ghaziabad), they said that motherboard had some problem. Service centre collected my laptop. I kept following up with service centre for next 22 days. At last they received motherboard from Bangalore and replaced (25th November, 2009) the same. Next day it was not showing any sign of life. It was completely silent. Again I had contacted to service centre, they expressed same problem. I again asked customer care. This time reply was same… ‘Our service centre would take care’. I asked to replace this laptop (Acer Laptop 4736) as it had manufacturing defect. But customer care and service centre both denied and told that they are helpless. They could only provide warranty.
After all this I searched email ids of Acer people on the internet. Few ids were ail_easycare@acer.co.in, mahesh_kulkarni@acer.co.in, wsmukund@acer.co.in, Sanjay_gupta@acer.co.in, shankar_b@acer.co.in). I got response that somebody would connect me. After two days, I was asked to send contact details. I shared through mail. Nobody contacted me next day. After that I marked CC to Jai Shankar, Director Sales, Acer India (sudhir_goel@acer.co.in) and Sudhir Goel, GM, Acer India (jai_shankar@acer.co.in). Now Customer care Manager Head Mr. Amrish Mahajan (Amrish_Mahajan@acer.co.in) contacted me. I simply requested to return full amount with a letter stating that ’Acer was unable to provide defect free product and service’. They offered me to replace Laptop with one month of extended warranty. I refused to this and asked my money back with apology letter or replace laptop with compensation as my brother had faced problem. He is an MBA student and it was basically purchased for his study. He missed few presentations and that was big loss. At last, Acer returned (12th Dec, 2009) the money without any Apology letter and took back laptop (Acer Laptop 4736).
This shows there lethargic and disgusting approach. Acer people don’t support their customer and when they caught with mistakes, they simply escape. You would be tortured mentally and physically. Now I hope this cheque would be realized. I would suggest – Do not buy Acer Products. I have shared the mail ids so that if anybody facing such problem can use these ids.
If some responsible Acer people read this review, kindly think upon that how would you survive with such product, service and behavior?

you need to download compatible drivers for it... e.g if you use Win 7 don't use vista drivers... (since win 7 already available for all aspire 4736 series)

try to go to "safe mode", turn on your laptop, then press F8 key rapidly during post...
in safe mode, please restore your system using windows system restore function.

Hi... my name is yan.. i just bought a 4736G last week n yesterday i cahnge a new one... the problem my prevous set was, i connected with my Ofice LAN network, it's working for few days, then sudenly it's not working. What i found was the LAN icon was missing under network adapater, only left Wifi adapter. Then yesterday i got a new set, n what is worsssst.. today the new set happen to be the same.... missing the adapter for LAN... i download the driver, then instal but during instalation, it say that the hardware dont exist...

Hi, I have same problem that someone said before.I use Aspire 4736-661G52Mn.
ReplyDeletemy Wireless LAN driver cannot be installed. I have tried all driver broadcom, intel and ralink. But it still cannot be installed.
Anyone has solved this problem? or is it any sugest how the order to install the driver to prevent this problem?

hey, i just updated the vga driver for my acer 4736z, first i installed vga intel.. after that i then installed vga nvidia, during my installation on the vga nvidia driver, an error occured, it states that "The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit."

I have a problem with my acer aspire 4736G (win 7 64bit), it automatically shut down after 10 minutes whenever i play a games, is it because of the driver problem? cos there is a guy from lowyatt.net said that he allready changed the motherboard 3 times but still hv the problem, so i guess chipset overheating can be ruled out. Thank you in advance.

ReplyDeleteI have problems installing windows7 ultimate on aspire 4736z with ddr3 operating system...when i've finished installing windows7, it could not activate the key and still need to activate key in 30days...is it the bios make the oem cannot validate it cause i use the same dvd for other models but it can validate the windows into windows activated but not this aspire 4736z....

ReplyDeletei have dis acer aspire 4736 with win xp, the thing is dat it doesnot connect to wireless networks, whenever i press d button it doesnot glow, giving me no idea whether it is turned on or off. whenever i which on d laptop it does show me dat wireless networks are unavailable but even if i refresh it in an area of wireless networks it shows nothing, i have downloaded d drivers from acer.co.in n had them installed but it has not helped.
can ne1 tell me wat m facing n how to get over dis nuisance????

ReplyDeletego to BIOS, make sure dvd rom is detected at BIOS... if it detected, then there is something wrong with your windows 7, try to reinstall it.

What i found was the LAN icon was missing under network adapater, only left Wifi adapter. Then yesterday i got a new set, n what is worsssst.. today the new set happen to be the same.... missing the adapter for LAN... i download the driver, then instal but during instalation, it say that the hardware dont exist...

you have to install the correct driver for the WLAN, there are three drivers available: Atheros, Intel, and Ralink,
check a WLAN information sticker at back side of your laptop, to decide which driver are suitable for your laptop

how about Atheros driver?
make sure that you are turn on Wireless device before install any driver and please uninstall previous driver before install new driver.

yes overheating can make something like that... try to update chipset driver... latest chipset driver for Intel 4 series http://downloadmirror.intel.com/18494/a08/infinst911autol.exe

open firefox.... search any wallpaper, open the image using firefox, then right click on image, select "Set as Desktop Background..."

there is a feature "disable/enable tap as click" available on touchpad application (synaptic or ALPS) ...

most codec on the net are working properly, there is no problem at all...
try this codec: K-lite codec pack.... ...
please uninstall any other codec software before install k-lite

no ahci driver needed.... windows 7 able to detect ahci configuration easily...
try to reinstall using windows 7 final version...

make sure that you are installing the correct driver for your WLAN. please read information sticker on the back side of the laptop.

Im having the same problem. camera is not shown in the device manager. is there a solution for this? is this a hardware problem? because before it works fine on windows XP and Windows 7, after i reformated it, the camera is not found.

hi i have bought aspire 4736g when i bought it i test all the hardware capabilities including bluetooth and lan. just yesterday everything was okay, but now when i try to transfer data via bluetooth and lan i found out that my driver was unplugged. i have used system restore to restore my laptop to previous condition (two days ago, thats the last time when i make restore point and everything still okay). after complete restoring my laptop, bluetooth and lan still in unplug condition in my laptop. do you have any solution? for note i haven't used them since the first time i bought them because mainly i transfer via usb(i only used them very rarely). it's been 1 year now. is there any way to re-plugged those device?

Sir we have a problem regarding with acer 4736z.
ReplyDeleteWhen i turned on the laptop it will boot only until to the windows screen which u need to put ur password to login and after you enter your pass. it will just load until a balck screen appear.
i try remove the password the it will just go in the same process
i already try to updated the software... of the vga, chipset.. and even change the boot priority to the hard drive...
we have 4 laptops in the same problem..

when i insert the DVD, "wrong CD, pls insert the correct CD bla bla bla bla....." when i reboot, n then press either F4, F8 or F10...there is no menu "boot from CD"...
can anybody here can help me to change the OS...
