  1. Heloo. first I want to say thanks..cause your tutorial made me able to install xp in my aspire 4710. But I have a liitle bit problem, there`s always an error code 39 for my network adapter driver, so my Wifi can`t work anymore..en my laptop can not shutdown by itself now..

    REaly really need ur help..

  4. My cd/dvd does not work either. I can't see it in the hardware and can't find a driver on the internet.
    For the rest I don't know which drivers I should install because I see several for 3G and VGA. Should I install them all??

  5. enable it in your driver manager... right click your MY COMPUTER folder and find it there..

  7. Having the same problem - upgraded to windows 7 and now can't see dvd drive. Any suggestions as to how to fix? Have searched for drivers online for the DVD drive but cant find any.

  8. followed instructions posted on another site - installed optical driver for windows vista and was able to proceed with installation of windows 7. DVD driver now working.

  9. I'm having the same problem with ACER 4810T and it seems resolved.
    Try to do the following, go the Acer web site and search for Windows 7 upgrade - Drivers/Support. Download and install driver for chipset. Then restart your 4810T with the Acer Upgrade DVD inside the DVD reader. When windows is restarted, go to My Computer, the DVD should be there now, click on the icon and follow instruction to complete the installation.
    Since everyone is having the same problem, I'm really surprised that Acer dosn't give any information on the official website!

  10. Hi, I'm having a problem with my touchpad lock button; it won't unlock. I tried both touchpad drivers as well as updating the chipset. Anyone else have this problem or know of a solution? Thanks.

  11. To download and install driver for chipset, worked for me, when upgrading from Vista to Win 7, I lost the optical drive (cd+dvd drive). Thanks for anonymous at January 07, 2010 2:48AM.

  12. Had the same problem on my new acer timeline 4810TZG. Found the fix solution here (chipset driver), now DVD is showing up and working fine. Thanks guys! (how is it that acer launched this machine and didnt notice this?)

  14. hello..i've just upgrade my OS to win7, my Fn button doesn't work and when i was installing my bluetooth it canceled and pop out a window that tells me i don't have the device..can't you help me?please mail me: the_ultimate_pineapple6@yahoo.com
